


They said their parties have decided to vote for the no-trust motion. However, lawmaker Kalasadevi Mahara expressed her concerns over the registration of the no-confidence motion against the government which as claimed by her was at its peak of popularity. Lawmakers Haricharan Saha, Ram Kumar Rai, Kumar Khadka, Rukmani Chaudhary, Chandreshwor Jha and Nagendra Kumar accused the Oli-led government of acting against the sentiments of indigenous nationalities . They said they would vote in favour of the no-trust motion. meeting of the Legislature-Parliament said the new constitution has a clear provision about the formation of a new government. They stressed that the constitution promulgated through the Constituent Assembly must not be misinterpreted under any circumstances. Article 298 of the Constitution has a clear provision regarding the election of a new prime minister, they said, adding that the misinterpretation of the provision by some parties in the government just to stay in power could not be justified. Madhesi Janadhikar Forum Nepal ( Democratic) Jitendra Narayan Dev and Rastriya Prajatantra Party’s Bikram Pandey argued that claim by some parties that a new government could not be formed on constitutional ground was the reflection of extremist thinking and misinterpretation of the country’s main law.
