Commonly blind people are treated as objects of pity and charity and she seeks to empower the blind as she has empowered herself. What initially was her limitation has now become her springboard and she is ready to rock the blind.
With this in mind she started to be involved in an organization ready to help people with disabilities. She also continued with her dance.People who watched her were surprised when they realized that she was blind. Their ovation was a driving force to her. She then performed on various stages in Nepal and abroad. Her desire to learn new steps were, however, shattered because the dancing institutions were not ready to accept a blind dancer. They were at the opinion that blind people cannot follow instructions properly.Striving through life as a visually impaired person gave Sristi K.C the courage and strength to fight for a course that she believes is for her and other visually impaired persons.
Sristi is a blind dancer from Nepal. At age sixteen she lost her eye sight. Initially she struggled to cope with her new situation. She was able to overcome many challenges to lead a life filled with happiness and dignity.
